Frequently asked questions.
Below are the questions we’re asked most often about blocked drains, CCTV surveys and drain repairs on the Isle of Wight. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, call our team any time on 01983 210497 — we’re available 24/7, Island-wide, with no call-out fee.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. RenoDrain never charges a call-out fee — you only pay for the work we carry out, and we’ll agree the price with you before we start. Call us any time on 01983 210497.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency drainage call-outs?
Yes. We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for blocked drains, blocked toilets and drainage emergencies right across the Isle of Wight. Whatever the time, call 01983 210497 and we’ll help.
Which areas of the Isle of Wight do you cover?
We’re based in Newport and cover the whole Island — including Cowes, Ryde, Newport, Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor and Freshwater, and everywhere in between. If you’re on the Isle of Wight, we can reach you.
How quickly can you get to me?
As a local, Island-based team we aim to get to you as quickly as possible and always prioritise emergencies. Because we’re based here on the Isle of Wight, there’s no waiting for a firm to travel over from the mainland. Call 01983 210497 and we’ll give you a realistic arrival time.
What are the most common causes of a blocked drain?
The usual culprits are a build-up of fat, grease and food waste, wet wipes and sanitary products, tree-root ingress, silt and scale, and cracked, displaced or collapsed pipework. A CCTV survey lets us find the real cause rather than just clearing the blockage.
What is a CCTV drain survey, and do I need one?
We feed a high-resolution camera through your drains to pinpoint exactly what’s wrong — a blockage, root ingress, a crack or a collapse — with no digging. It’s ideal for recurring blockages, buying or selling a property, or confirming what repair (if any) is actually needed.
Can you repair a drain without digging up my garden or driveway?
In many cases, yes. We offer no-dig repairs such as drain relining, where a new lining is formed inside your existing pipe, along with patch repairs and pipe re-rounding. These fix cracks, leaks and damage with minimal disruption to your property.
What should I do while I wait for you to arrive?
If a drain or toilet is overflowing, stop running water and avoid using anything that drains into it — sinks, the washing machine, the dishwasher — so it doesn’t get worse. Keep the area clear so our engineer has easy access, and keep children and pets away from any spillage. We’ll take care of the rest.
How do I get a price or book a visit?
Just call us on 01983 210497 or email info@renodrain.co.uk. Tell us what’s happening and where you are on the Island, and we’ll arrange a visit and give you a clear, no-obligation price — with no call-out fee.
How will I know the cost, and how can I pay?
We’ll always agree the price with you before we start work, so you know the cost upfront with no surprises. When you book, just ask our team about the payment options available.
